Licence and copyright
This is page 35 of the guide, word for word. It applies to everyone who buys the kit.
© 2026 DL Guide. Independent Guide to DVLA Medical Licence Decisions (England & Wales), edition DLG-DVLA-2026-10, current as at October 2026. This page sets out what your purchase lets you do with the guide, the calculator and the letter templates.
What you may do
- Use the kit for your own case, or for the case of a family member you are helping.
- Print the guide, and fill it in on screen or on paper, as often as you need.
- Adapt the letter templates and send them for that case. The letters you write from them are yours.
- Keep copies on your own devices, with a backup, for your own use.
What you may not do
- Resell the kit or any file in it, or give it away.
- Share copies with anyone outside the case you bought it for, including by email, in groups or on forums.
- Upload any part of it to a website, file-sharing service or shared drive that other people can open.
- Repackage it, or include any part of it in another product, course or service.
- Remove or change the copyright, licence, disclaimer or not-affiliated notices.
You may remove the guidance boxes and any notices from a letter you actually send; the rule against removing notices applies to copies of the kit itself.
Information, not advice
This kit is a self-help information product. It explains the process DVLA and the courts publish. It is not legal advice, it is not medical advice, and nobody reviews your case, files anything for you or represents you. The full disclaimer is on page 32.
Official material
Crown copyright material quoted from GOV.UK and legislation.gov.uk is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and is not claimed by DL Guide. Not affiliated with DVLA or any government body.
Questions, or a copy you think is unauthorised
Contact the seller through the store you bought this kit from, using its order or seller contact page. If you come across a copy being sold or shared, report it the same way and say where you found it. Please do not send medical records or case papers: nobody reviews individual cases.
